How to install your presets.
Installation Guide for the presets in Lightroom Mobile
Import your presets just once using these simple steps. With these simple steps, you’ll have it done in under 30 minutes. After that, editing your photos is a breeze. With just one click, you can transform your images and elevate your photography game!
Below, you’ll find a step-by-step guide on how to install the presets. In the images, I’ve circled in red where you need to click.
Step 1: Install the Lightroom App
- Open the Google Play Store on your Android phone or the App Store on your iPhone.
- Search for “Adobe Lightroom” in the search bar.
- Download and install the app by tapping Install.
- Open the app and create a free account if you don’t have one.
Step 2: Install your presets
Now, go to the email you received and click on the link (circled in red in the picture)
Click on the top folder (you’ll get to the rest later, but we’ll start at the top).
Here you’ll see several presets that belong to this set. Click on the three dots next to the top file (you’ll do this for the rest later, but for now, we’ll continue with the first one).
Now click on ‘Open with’.
Now select ‘Lightroom.’ If Lightroom isn’t visible right away, click on ‘More,’ and you should see Lightroom listed there.
Now you’ll see my photo opened in Lightroom. This is your preset. To save it to your own Lightroom app, click on the three dots at the top (circled in red).
Now click on ‘Create Preset’.
Give your preset a name. Choose a clear name so you can easily find it later. You can use the same names I’ve provided, but if you prefer to give them different names, that’s perfectly fine too.
Create a separate group for the presets so you can organize all the presets you’ve received from me in one place. This will keep your Lightroom app tidy and make it easier to find them later. To create a group, click on ‘Preset Group’ (circled in red).
Here you can give it a name. Choose a clear name so you can easily find it later.
Then click on the checkmark in the top right corner.
And now, click on the checkmark in the top right corner again.
You’re all done! The preset is now saved in your Lightroom app, and you can use it on all your photos from now on.
We’ll repeat these steps for the other presets you’ve received so you can edit all your photos quickly and easily.
Once all the presets are added, I’ll guide you on how to start using them.
Go back to the files in the link and click on the three dots next to the second file. Follow all the steps above to save this one as well.
Repeat this process for all 5 presets in this set.
Once you’ve saved all 5 presets, click on the arrow in the top left corner to go back to the other folders with presets.
Now click on the second folder to add the next preset set.
Follow all the steps again for these 5 presets as well.
Once you’ve added these, move on to the next set. In total, you’ve received 6 sets with 5 presets each. This means you’ll need to repeat these steps 30 times. It’ll take you about 30 minutes to set everything up, but once it’s done, you’ll be able to edit your photos like a professional in no time!
Once you’ve added all 30 presets, you’re all set, and the fun part can begin!
Now you get to start applying the presets to your own photos! Below, I’ll explain exactly how to do that step by step.
Step 3: Use the presets on your own photos
Go to your album and select a photo you want to edit.
Click on Share and choose the Lightroom app. (If the Lightroom app isn’t immediately visible when you click on Share, select More, and you should find the Lightroom app there.)
The photo will now open in Lightroom.
Click on Presets (circled in red with the number 1 next to it).
Now you can select a preset. Under the ‘Yours’ section, choose the folder where you saved your presets and click on it (circled in red with the number 2 next to it).
The folder where you saved all your presets will now open, and you can choose the preset that works best for your photo.
In my example photo, you’ll see only one preset, but if you’ve added all 30 presets, they’ll all be listed here, giving you plenty of options to find the perfect match for your photo.
Click on the preset you want to use, and then click the checkmark in the bottom right corner.
And you’re done! It’s that simple to edit your photos now.
To save the photo, click on the share icon in the top right corner.
Now click on ‘Share to Device,’ and your photo will be saved to your phone.
