The Story of Yakita and Her Photographer Mom Diana.

Hi there! From our sunny home on the beautiful island of Curaçao, I’m Yakita, a little Chihuahua with a big personality. Together with my mom, Diana, we share a love for capturing special moments—let me tell you our story!

Hi there! I’m Yakita, a small Chihuahua with a big personality, living my best life on the beautiful island of Curaçao in the Caribbean. Here, I spend my days exploring, soaking up the sun, and striking my best poses for my mom, Diana—the person behind the camera and my favorite travel buddy.

Diana has always been crazy about animals, especially dogs like me. She’s had dogs her entire life, and about 10 years ago, she turned her love for photography into her job—because what’s better than making your passion your profession? Every day, she takes fun photos of me and my brother and sister, and I must admit, I’m the perfect model. I love all the attention, being in the spotlight, and showing off my best side.

When we’re not enjoying the beaches of Curaçao, we’re off on adventures. Every year, we spend two months traveling through Europe, discovering new places and creating beautiful memories together. I love meeting new people—strangers are just friends I haven’t cuddled yet—but I’m not too keen on hanging out with other dogs. I guess I prefer having all the attention to myself.
